We are Widnes CLC- Welcome to our website.

We are part of a unique network of CLCs funded by the DfES and tasked with delivering Bectas E-Learning Strategy.
Partners collaborate on an Annual Performance Agreement that specifies which national and local priorities we will be responsible for delivering in our projects (View our current APA) and against which our funding and performance is assessed.
We are a shared resource for all partner schools. Our facility is hosted by Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School. As such, our remit is clear.

• To provide, develop and resource unique and innovative teaching and learning opportunities for ALL Halton pupils and, by extension, for their teachers, parents and the wider community.

• To promote the adoption and application of new technologies in ALL subject areas

• To act as a testbed for new technologies: we want to harness the power of ICT in ways that make learning an illuminating, enjoyable and, above all, rewarding experience for as many people as possib

• To improve education standards and skill levels

• To share best practice amongst the local network of educators

• Our purpose built, state of the art facilities can be booked by all secondary and primary groups in Halton. They are a free resource for all partner schools and many youth and community groups.

• We have a core team responsible for identifying technologies, developing and delivering educational projects that use them effectively and supporting your use of our facilities.

• We have an outreach programme: our trainers and consultants are constantly developing ways for our technology and resources to have a lasting effect on practice within classrooms across the partnership

• We will provide training opportunities to all partners. This will range from ECDL qualification to whiteboard training to software specific courses.

• We liaise closely with Local Authority consultants and providers to ensure that our projects meet curriculum objectives and have a real effect on attainment.
